<p><strong>The Opportunity:</strong></p>

<p>PLC Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our Transition Program team on a 12-month fixed-term contract commencing Term 1, 2027. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, inclusive learning programs tailored to individual student needs across academic, social, and living skills.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><i>Key Responsibilities: </i></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver NESA Life Skills programs and evidence-based strategies to build literacy, numeracy, and independent living skills. </li>
<li>Develop and review tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) alongside families and specialists. </li>
<li>Maintain accurate documentation for the National Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) and meet NESA standards. </li>
<li>Provide direct instructional support while fostering the social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of neurodiverse students. </li>
<li>Collaborate with Teachers' Aides, supervise grounds, and participate in co-curricular activities, camps, and school events.</li>
</ul>

<p><i>Selection Criteria: </i></p>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary teaching qualifications with specialist training or postgraduate qualifications in Special Education. </li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with NESA Life Skills syllabi, NCCD evidence collection, and evidence-based learning strategies for students with disabilities. </li>
<li>Proven ability to construct effective IEPs and IBPs in collaboration with families and support teams. </li>
<li>Current NESA registration and NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).</li>
</ul>
