The role works closely with the College Deputy Principal, Director of Curriculum, KLA Coordinators and teaching staff.</p> <p>We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about great teaching and can bring energy, ideas and academic ambition to the role, while building positive relationships and bringing people along with them.</p> <p>A key priority will be student growth. We want to ensure our curriculum and learning opportunities respond to different strengths, interests and aspirations, including HSC and post-school pathways.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic leadership of teaching and learning across the College.</li> <li>Contribute to the broader direction of the College as an active member of the College Leadership Team.</li> <li>Place student growth at the centre of teaching and learning, using evidence and data to understand progress and inform improvement.</li> <li>Champion explicit, evidence-informed teaching practices across the College.</li> <li>Lead professional learning that is relevant, practical and supports genuine improvement in classroom practice.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with KLA Coordinators and teaching staff to strengthen curriculum delivery, pedagogy, assessment and academic achievement.</li> <li>Bring a strong understanding of the HSC, senior secondary learning, assessment and student achievement.</li> <li>Help expand pathways and learning opportunities for students, recognising their different strengths, interests, aspirations and post-school destinations.</li> <li>Build the capability and confidence of teachers and middle leaders to lead improvement within their areas.</li> <li>Promote high expectations and a culture of academic ambition, engagement and curiosity.</li> <li>Work closely with the Director of Curriculum to ensure curriculum and assessment practices meet NESA and College requirements.</li> </ul> committed to Catholic education and the Edmund Rice tradition</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current NESA teacher accreditation.</li> <li>Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications.</li> <li>Demonstrated senior leadership experience in teaching and learning.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment and NESA requirements.</li> <li>Demonstrated capacity to lead whole-school improvement and professional learning.</li> <li>Highly developed leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Capacity to lead change and build staff capability.</li> <li>Commitment to Catholic education and the Edmund Rice tradition.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Highly Regarded</strong></p> <ul> <li>Postgraduate qualifications in education and/or
