We believe in a collaborative staff culture and staff engagement, playing to people’s strengths and providing opportunities for development and growth.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p> <p>The Dean of Students – Senior School provides leadership relating to student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, engagement and pastoral care across Years 7–12. Through leadership of the House system and Heads of House team, the Dean fosters a positive, inclusive and values-driven culture where students feel known, valued and supported to thrive. The role leads pastoral programs, student support and intervention processes, leadership development and student formation initiatives, while supporting the Anglican identity of the College through Chapel and faith-based opportunities.</p> <p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership for the development, implementation and ongoing review of the Senior School behaviour management framework.</li> <li>Promote a culture in which behavioural expectations, respectful relationships and positive citizenship are explicitly taught, modelled and reinforced.</li> <li>Oversee the development and implementation of programs and strategies that explicitly teach and reinforce positive behaviour, respectful relationships and student responsibility.</li> <li>Promote restorative practices that encourage reflection, relationship repair, personal growth and positive behaviour change.</li> <li>Provide strategic leadership of the House system as the primary structure for student connection, pastoral care and belonging.</li> <li>Lead the development and implementation of pastoral care, wellbeing and student formation programs that support the holistic development of students.</li> <li>Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Senior School Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Student Intervention Framework.</li> <li>Provide leadership, coaching and professional support to the Heads of House team.</li> <li>Ensure student wellbeing, behaviour and safety concerns are appropriately documented, monitored and escalated.</li> <li>Use student data and evidence-informed practices to inform planning, decision-making and pastoral improvement initiatives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <ul> <li>Postgraduate qualifications in Educational Leadership, Student Wellbeing or a related field.</li> <li>Experience leading a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), wellbeing framework or student intervention team.</li> <li>Experience leading staff in a middle or senior leadership position within a secondary school.</li> <li>Experience with restorative practices, positive education, or trauma-informed approaches.</li> <li>Accreditation with NESA.</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check and National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, staff and families.</li> <li>High order critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions.</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to the values and ethos of Anglican education, with the capacity to support student formation, leadership, service and faith development.</li> </ul> <p><strong>FIND OUT MORE</strong></p> <p>For further information about the role, including the full position description, responsibilities and key selection criteria, please visit the Trinity Anglican College website.</p> <p><a href="https://www.trinityac.nsw.edu.au/about/working-at-trinity/current-opportunities" rel="nofollow">https://www.trinityac.nsw.edu.au/about/working-at-trinity/current-opportunities</a>&nbsp;</p> <p>For any questions about the position or application process, please contact <a href="mailto:HR@trinityac.nsw.edu.au?subject=Dean%20of%20Students%20-%20Senior%20School%202027%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29" rel="nofollow">HR@trinityac.nsw.edu.au</a>.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>APPLICATIONS</strong></p> <p>To apply for this position, please submit your application via SEEK, including a current resume outlining your qualifications, experience and relevant leadership responsibilities, together with a cover letter addressing each of the key selection criteria outlined in the position description.</p> <p>Please provide a response to each key selection criterion, with each response limited to no more than 250 words.
