We are seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher to join our dedicated Primary School team at our Bexley campus for a 12 month maternity leave replacement commencing in Term 1, 2027.

Grounded in the teachings and traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Church, the College is committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment in which students are encouraged to achieve academic excellence while developing strong character, faith and a sense of responsibility towards others.</p> <p>We are seeking an <strong>experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Primary Teacher</strong> to join our dedicated Primary School team at our Bexley campus for a 12 month maternity leave replacement commencing in Term 1, 2027.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing College community where staff are valued, supported and encouraged to develop professionally while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.</p> <p><i><strong>About the Role</strong></i></p> <p>The successful applicant will be a dedicated educator who is committed to delivering engaging, high quality learning experiences and contributing positively to the life of the College.</p> <p>Working collaboratively with colleagues, the successful applicant will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing and reporting on student learning, while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment in which every student is encouraged to reach their potential.</p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate a genuine commitment to student wellbeing and to fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.</p> <p><i><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></i></p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated and high quality teaching and learning programs.</li> <li>Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote a safe, respectful and positive learning environment.</li> <li>Assess, monitor and report on student achievement and progress.</li> <li>Use student data and assessment information to inform teaching and learning.</li> <li>Develop positive and respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively as part of the Primary teaching team.</li> <li>Contribute to the wider life of the College, including College events, activities and community initiatives.</li> <li>Participate actively in professional learning and contribute to ongoing improvement across the Primary School.</li> <li>Uphold and promote the values, mission and Christian ethos of St Mary &amp; St Mina's Coptic Orthodox College.</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>About You</strong></i></p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate teaching qualifications and current NESA accreditation.</li> <li>A strong understanding of the NSW K–6 curriculum and relevant NESA syllabuses.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, assessing and reporting on effective teaching and learning programs.</li> <li>The ability to differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.</li> <li>Strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish a positive learning environment.</li> <li>The ability to use assessment data to monitor student progress and inform future teaching practice.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>The ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional teaching team.</li> <li>A commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective teaching practice.</li> <li>A demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing and the development of positive relationships.</li> <li>A willingness to actively support and contribute to the Christian ethos and values of the College.</li> <li>Experience or training in MultiLit would be highly advantageous.</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>Why Work at St Mary &amp; St Mina's?</strong></i></p> <p>At SMSM College, we believe our staff are our greatest asset.
