Queen of Peace Catholic Parish Primary School, Altona Meadows, is seeking a highly motivated, Learning Diversity Leader to join our school community. Teachers at Queen of Peace passionately care about children, their learning, safety and wellbeing. Queen of Peace invites appplications for the ongoing position of Learning Diversity Leader commencing in January, 2027.

Leadership in a Catholic school carries with it the unique opportunity for shaping a climate of Catholic Christian values and an atmosphere for learning that will nurture the growth and development of each person.</p> <p>Queen of Peace Parish Primary School takes an explicit instructional approach to the teaching of English, Mathematics and Behavioural Routines and Expectations, in line with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools' <i>Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement.</i></p> <p>The Learning Diversity Leader reports directly to the Principal and the Deputy Principal - Student Engagement, is a member of the Leadership Team and oversees programs and resources.</p> <p>The successful applicant will be a dynamic educator who holds a strong understanding of students with diverse learning needs and a collaborative team player who works with all stakeholders, within our school and throughout the broader school community.</p> <p><a href="https://www.qopaltonameadows.catholic.edu.au/our-school/#content-anchor" rel="nofollow">If you would like to learn more about Queen of Peace and why we are the school for you, click here</a></p> <p><strong>Key requirements:</strong></p> <p>•&nbsp;Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, together with relevant teaching qualifications and post-graduate studies (completed or underway) relevant to learning diversity.</p> <p>•&nbsp;Commitment to Queen of Peace’s mission, values, and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.</p> <p>• A strong commitment to neuroaffirming practices and a positive, strengths-based mindset are essential. We welcome applicants who prioritise creating an inclusive environment for all learners.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Demonstrated expertise or a strong foundation in positive behaviour support and classroom management strategies is essential, with a welcoming approach that promotes positive student engagement and well-being.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Demonstrated understanding of NCCD requirements is essential. &nbsp;</p> <p>• Postgraduate qualifications or additional study in Special Education/ Inclusive Education are highly regarded. Applications from educators eager to learn and grow in this area are welcomed.</p> <p>• Knowledge or experience of MTSS is advantageous.</p> <p>• Trained in and/or an understanding&nbsp;of the Berry Street Education Model and Team Teach is preferred but not essential.</p> <p>All applications should include a cover letter (no more than 3 pages) addressing the above requirements, the completed Employment Application document, copy of current VIT card and copy of identification card, e.g. driver's licence.
