<p><strong>Early Learning Assistant&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Full-time - 38 hours per week</p> <p>Fixed Term - 12 months</p> <p>Commencing Term 1, 2027</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Geelong College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Learning Assistant to support the teaching staff and children in the day-to-day operation of our Early Learning Centre.</p> <p>Working collaboratively as part of the Early Learning team, you will contribute to providing a dynamic, creative and interactive learning environment that supports children’s learning, development and wellbeing.&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will assist with the implementation of learning programs, contribute to inviting indoor and outdoor learning spaces, support daily routines and activities, and help create a safe, positive and engaging environment for children.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Diploma of Children's Services (child-care) or equavilent&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience and/or knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy (desirable)&nbsp;</li> <li>Understanding of the National Quality Framework, the National Education and Care Services Regulations, the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks&nbsp;</li> <li>Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain</li> <li>Evidence of Right to Work in Australia</li> <li>Completion of Asthma for Schools Certificate (free course)</li> <li>Current First Aid (HLTAID011), CPR (HLTAID0009) and asthma management certification</li> <li>Completion of the College anaphylaxis qualification</li> <li>Have completed the <i>Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations Non Government Schools&nbsp;</i>module</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Compliance Requirements:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>Applications should be addressed to Ms Jess Kelly, Head of Junior School, The Geelong College, and include:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>A cover letter</li> <li>Your resume</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Applications received until Monday 12 October 2026 - 6pm</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><i><strong>Please note:</strong></i> Applications will be assessed as they are received, and interviews may commence prior to the closing date.</p> <p>The College reserves the right to close the application process early once the position has been successfully filled.</p>
