St Anthony's is seeking a teacher who can meet the diverse needs of learners, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and contribute positively to the life of the school. The successful applicant will be a collaborative team member who aligns with the school's vision, expectations and evidence-informed approach to teaching and learning. Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
<p>Successful applicants must:</p> <ul> <li>Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos.</li> <li>Align with the MACS Vision for Instruction and MACS Vision for Engagement.</li> <li>Proven capability in delivering explicit instruction in key areas such as Literacy and Numeracy.</li> <li>Understand cognitive load theory.</li> <li>Implement best practice instruction, curriculum planning (evidence-based, knowledge-rich, coherent and sequenced) and assessment practice.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.</li> </ul> <p>Key Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>VIT registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to undertake accreditation).</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting, learning-focused relationships with staff, students and families.</li> <li>A commitment to child safety and wellbeing.</li> <li>A proactive approach to professional growth, including giving and receiving feedback.</li> </ul>
