This role is required to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm, during Term time only.</p> <p>Working as part of the Facilities Team, the successful applicant will play an important role in ensuring the College grounds, buildings and facilities are safe, functional, welcoming and well presented for students, staff and visitors.</p> <p>This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is comfortable working across a busy school environment.<br><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Key responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Undertaking general grounds, building and facilities maintenance across the College.</li> <li>Completing routine maintenance, minor repairs and preventative maintenance activities.</li> <li>Maintaining College grounds, facilities, resources, tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.</li> <li>Identifying and responding to maintenance, safety and presentation issues across the College.</li> <li>Assisting with the set-up and pack-down of College functions, events and activities.</li> <li>Moving deliveries, furniture, resources and equipment throughout the College.</li> <li>Supporting the Facilities Manager and Facilities Team with day-to-day operational and maintenance requirements.</li> <li>Assisting with contractors and other facilities-related activities as required.</li> <li>Contributing to the cleanliness, safety, presentation and functionality of College facilities and outdoor areas.</li> <li>Participating in student supervision duties, including rostered recess, lunchtime and bus duties, to support the safety and wellbeing of students.</li> <li>Actively supervising students, maintaining appropriate visibility and responding to behaviour or safety concerns in accordance with College expectations.</li> <li>Working collaboratively and flexibly as part of the Facilities Team and undertaking other operational duties as reasonably required.</li> </ul> <p>Student supervision forms an important component of this position, reflecting the shared responsibility of staff for maintaining a safe and supportive College environment.</p> <p>For further information about the role, view the position description.</p> <p><br><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>A commitment to the Mission, values and Good Samaritan Benedictine ethos of Rosebank College.</li> <li>Practical grounds, maintenance or general handyperson skills, or the aptitude and willingness to develop these skills.</li> <li>A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance and operational issues.</li> <li>Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and respond to changing operational needs.</li> <li>The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact positively with students, staff, contractors and visitors.</li> <li>A strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.</li> <li>A willingness and capacity to undertake active student supervision duties.</li> <li>A commitment to maintaining the College's grounds and facilities to a high standard.</li> </ul> <p><br> Rosebank College's approach is grounded in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition, including the values of stewardship, hospitality, compassion and service.</p> <p><br><strong>The Application Process</strong></p> <p>If you meet the requirements of this position, then please <strong>click the Apply button</strong> to submit your online application, to the Principal of Rosebank College.&nbsp;</p> <p>When you complete the <strong>online application</strong>, you will need to provide:</p> <ul> <li>A copy of your CV;</li> <li>A cover letter;</li> <li>Copies of relevant academic qualifications and copies of transcripts.</li> </ul> <p><br> Candidates who progress through our recruitment process will be required to provide at least two (2) referees, including the current employer.</p> <p>Early applications are encouraged to assist the interview process.
