<p><strong>Position Purpose</strong></p> <p>The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for providing analytical and technical support for analytics and business intelligence activities. This role develops reports, dashboards and interactive data visualizations to support educational &amp; business decisions and gain key insights into opportunities. In addition this role contributes to data modeling as well as administration of business intelligence systems.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Commencement</strong></p> <p>The commencement date for this position is 2 November 2026 (negotiable).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Duties related to the position include but are not limited to the following:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Business Intelligence Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provides solutions to business owners and domain experts that drive decision making by utilising various analytical techniques and tools, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics</li> <li>Presents analysis through innovative and interactive content formats such as dashboards and data stories</li> <li>Collaborates with data engineers to design and maintain dimensional data models in the presentation layer; tailors datasets to support BI and advanced analytics</li> <li>Implements best practices for data pipelines and testing frameworks to enhance the reliability of analytics solutions</li> <li>Prepares domain-oriented datasets for other use cases</li> </ul> <p><strong>Business Intelligence Systems Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Monitors and tunes business intelligence systems, identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks, and implements strategies to enhance performance</li> <li>Administers data model &amp; insights related systems</li> </ul> <p><strong>Data Modelling</strong></p> <ul> <li>Designs and develops data models optimised for use in business intelligence or other outputs, capturing the structure, relationships, and constraints of relevant datasets</li> <li>Build and operationalise complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and perform data cleansing/quality solutions</li> <li>Conduct performance tuning and optimisation of data models for efficient data access and retrieval</li> </ul> <p><strong>Architecture, Planning &amp; Governance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensures data systems, processes, insights and outputs are focused on educational and business outcomes</li> <li>Substantively contributes to the architecture of data insights at all stages from source system through to delivered outcomes</li> <li>Substantively contributes to planning related to data systems, processes, insights, outputs and outcomes</li> <li>Incorporate core data management competencies, including data governance, data security and data quality</li> <li>Maintains technical documentation for data pipelines, transformation logic, data modes, and other components</li> </ul> <p><strong>Collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborates with team members, business stakeholders and third-parties to optimise models, algorithms, etc for data quality, security, and governance</li> <li>Effectively collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders to understand data and business requirements and translate them into outputs</li> </ul> <p><strong>General</strong></p> <ul> <li>Attend to any other matters appropriate for the position and consistent with the skills of the incumbent</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>4 + years developing and administering business intelligence and data models</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of and experience concerning the cyber security implications of data services</li> <li>Highly defined analytical, and problem solving skills, and demonstrated experience with complex incidents</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to: <ul> <li>Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues</li> <li>Prepare documentation and plans, develop procedures, etc</li> <li>Communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders</li> </ul></li> <li>Excellent organisational skills including attention to detail, highly effective time management and ability to prioritise between multiple projects</li> <li>The ability to work collaboratively as a highly effective team-member as well as work autonomously and take ownership of issues and projects</li> <li>If remote, willingness to travel for key meetings &amp;
