<p>We are seeking a passionate and collaborative<strong> Learning Support Teacher </strong>to join our established Diverse Learning Team, <strong>commencing Term 1, 2027</strong>. This permanent full-time position offers an opportunity to work closely with teachers and students across Years 7-12, supporting inclusive learning practices and helping every student achieve their full potential.</p> <p><strong>About The Role</strong></p> <p>As part of St Patrick's College's commitment to the education of every child, you will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs through both direct intervention and collaborative practice.</p> <p>The primary focus of this role is to build teacher capacity to effectively plan for and teach students with a range of learning needs. You will work collaboratively with classroom teachers across Years 7-12 to design, implement and evaluate differentiated learning programs and appropriate adjustments for students requiring additional support.</p> <p>The successful applicant will also contribute to key administrative processes associated with learning support, including the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), HSC Disability Provisions, Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs), and related documentation.</p> <p>In addition to your Diverse Learning responsibilities, you will have your own teaching allocation and demonstrate excellence in contemporary pedagogy, curriculum knowledge, student engagement and classroom management.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>A commitment to the Catholic ethos and Edmund Rice tradition of St Patrick's College.</li> <li>A strong understanding of child safeguarding responsibilities and professional boundaries.</li> <li>NESA accreditation and approval to teach in NSW as a qualified Secondary Teacher.</li> <li>Proven experience planning, implementing, modelling, monitoring and evaluating teaching programs for students with additional learning and support needs in collaboration with classroom teachers.</li> <li>Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner.</li> <li>Effective classroom management skills, including the ability to establish positive learning environments and implement proactive behaviour support strategies.</li> <li>Proven success in differentiating curriculum to meet the diverse needs of learners.</li> <li>The ability to effectively integrate technology into teaching, learning and assessment to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Highly Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Postgraduate qualifications in Special Education, Inclusive Education, Learning Support, Differentiation, or a related field.</li> <li>Experience preparing and managing NESA applications and requirements for HSC Disability Provisions.</li> <li>Experience supporting the implementation of NCCD processes and personalised learning plans.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies in literacy and numeracy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p> <p>At St Patrick's College, you will join a thriving Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition, educating more than 1,630 boys across Years 5-12.</p> <p>Our Diverse Learning Team is committed to ensuring every student is known, supported and empowered to achieve their personal best.
