<p>St Narsai Assyrian Christian College is a co-educational independent school that educates students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Located in Southwest Sydney, the College is embedded in the Christian faith and its values. <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Mathematics Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a positive learning environment and maintaining high teaching standards.</p>
<p>This is a temporary full-time position commencing on 27 January 2027 and ending on 10 December 2027.</p>
<p><strong>The ideal candidate must have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>NESA accreditation to teach Stages 4, 5 and 6 Mathematics.</li>
<li>Evidence of innovative classroom practices.</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge and understanding of the integration of technology in the delivery of learning.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in implementing numeracy initiatives.</li>
<li>Proven ability to analyse student data, develop action plans, and implement strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Expertise in differentiating instruction to effectively support EAL/D students and those with low numeracy skills, ensuring their diverse learning needs are met.</li>
<li>An understanding of how students learn, effective classroom teaching strategies, and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.</li>
<li>Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A tertiary qualification in Education, and NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.</li>
<li>A strong commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the school.</li>
<li>A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).</li>
</ul>

<p>Salary in accordance with the Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2026 (above award).</p>
