<p><strong>Year 7 Core Teacher</strong></p> <p><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Permanent Full-Time Position<br><strong>Commencing:</strong> January 2027</p> <p>Faith Lutheran College is seeking a passionate, innovative and student-centred educator to join our Middle School team as a <strong>Year 7 Core Teacher</strong>. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative Year 7 program that supports students as they transition into secondary schooling through engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences.</p> <p>Our Year 7 team operates within a purpose-built Middle School environment, working collaboratively to deliver an innovative inquiry-based curriculum that supports students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Since the introduction of Year 7 to the Middle and Senior School, Faith Lutheran College has developed a highly successful middle years program focused on strong relationships, student wellbeing, collaboration and academic growth.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The Position</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>Year 7 Core Teacher</strong>, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Teach a range of Year 7 core curriculum subjects within a collaborative teaching team.&nbsp;</li> <li>Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote curiosity, critical thinking and student growth.</li> <li>Work closely with colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate curriculum and assessment practices.</li> <li>Foster positive relationships with students, families and staff to support academic achievement and wellbeing.&nbsp;</li> <li>Create inclusive learning environments that cater for diverse student needs and encourage every learner to flourish.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to the College's pastoral care, co-curricular and wellbeing programs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Utilise contemporary teaching practices and digital technologies to enhance learning outcomes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Actively participate in the broader life of the College and support its Christian ethos.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Hold relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.&nbsp;</li> <li>Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching middle years students.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices.&nbsp;</li> <li>Have experience, or a willingness to develop expertise, in inquiry-based learning approaches.&nbsp;</li> <li>Possess excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Be a collaborative team member who values innovation, reflection and continuous improvement.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of Faith Lutheran College and Lutheran Education Australia.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Faith Lutheran College, located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, is a thriving co-educational R-12 College.
