<p>The Learning Area Coordinator is a middle leadership position responsible for the vision, leadership and effective operation of a learning area. The Coordinator leads curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and staff development to ensure high-quality teaching and learning, improved student outcomes and compliance with College, CEWA and SCSA requirements.</p> <p>The Learning Area Coordinator is expected to contribute positively to the strategic direction of the College, foster a culture of continuous improvement and support the wellbeing and development of both staff and students.</p> <p>The Learning Area Coordinator provides strategic and instructional leadership within the learning area and is accountable for:</p> <ul> <li>the quality and consistency of curriculum delivery, assessment and reporting practices;</li> <li>the achievement, engagement and progress of students within the learning area;</li> <li>the professional growth, support and performance of staff within the learning area;</li> <li>ensuring compliance with CEWA, SCSA and College requirements;</li> <li>fostering a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and high expectations; and</li> <li>effective stewardship of learning area resources, facilities and budgets.</li> </ul>
