Small school, big impact - lead enrolments and auditions in a key operational role at The Australian Ballet School

Full Time | The Australian Ballet School | Southbank

Circa: $90,000 plus super

At The Australian Ballet School, we train dancers for the world stage. For every student who walks through our doors, that journey starts with a first enquiry, an audition, an offer… and that's where you come in.

We're looking for a Student Enrolments and Operations Manager to own the end-to-end enrolment experience for students and families, while helping keep the School's day-to-day operations, events and facilities running smoothly. With approximately 110 full-time students, The Australian Ballet School is a small, close-knit school - this is a genuinely hands-on role where you'll own the function end to end, working closely with a small team where everyone pitches in.

The role:

Manage the full enrolment lifecycle - applications, auditions, offers, acceptances and re-enrolments - including communication with students, families and referring organisations

Coordinate audition administration, scheduling and follow-up, and prepare enrolment and statistical reporting

Support planning and delivery of school events, including timelines, logistics and staffing, alongside day-to-day office management

Support families with information on programs, entry requirements and key dates, and represent the School at open days and information sessions

Maintain accurate, confidential student records, liaising with the RTO Lead to ensure compliance

Provide reception coverage as part of a rotating roster

Champion the School's commitment to child safety in all aspects of the role

What you'll bring:

Demonstrated experience in student enrolments, admissions or client services, ideally within an educational environment (secondary or RDO admissions)

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent VET qualification), plus a tertiary qualification in administration, education, business or a related field

Proficiency with student management or CRM systems, strong data entry skills, and an understanding of compliance in an educational or vocational setting

Experience coordinating events or projects, including logistics and stakeholder liaison

How you operate:

You bring precision, discretion and consistency to everything you do, even when juggling competing priorities

You're a natural communicator — students, families and colleagues trust you to be responsive, professional and approachable

You're genuinely happy to roll up your sleeves; in a small team, that means stepping outside your core duties to help out, and you see that as part of the job

Why you'll love it:

This role sits at the heart of the student and family experience - often the first and most lasting impression of the School. It offers genuine variety across enrolments, events, compliance and operations, close collaboration with artistic, academic and administrative teams, and the chance to see the direct impact of your work in a small, globally respected institution.

Requirements

Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

National Police Check

Capacity to work outside standard hours where required
