<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced <strong>Deputy Head of Junior High</strong> to join our <strong>Junior High</strong> team. Reporting to the Head of Junior High, this key leadership role partners strategically and operationally to foster a high-performing, student-centred sub-school where students flourish, staff are supported, and a culture of wellbeing, engagement and academic success thrives.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and support Year Level Coordinators to build a collaborative, high-performing leadership team.</li>
<li>Oversee student wellbeing, pastoral care and behaviour management frameworks across Years 7–9.</li>
<li>Manage complex student matters and coordinate interventions to support student engagement and success.</li>
<li>Partner with families, staff and specialist support teams to deliver positive outcomes for students.</li>
<li>Drive Junior High improvement initiatives, using data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Deputise for the Head of Junior High and contribute to strategic and operational leadership across the sub-school.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Leadership, Pastoral Care and/or Curriculum, together with Queensland College of Teachers registration (or eligibility for registration).</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of middle years education, student wellbeing, pastoral care and behaviour management practices.</li>
<li>Experience in a similar educational leadership role, with demonstrated success leading staff, supporting student outcomes and driving improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Highly developed organisational and time management skills.</li>
<li>Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.</li>
</ul>
