<p><strong>About the Role</strong><br><br>
We are seeking a passionate and engaging <strong>Primary HPE Teacher</strong> to join the Health and Physical Education Faculty at Sheldon College for a <strong>Term 4 Long Service Leave cover.</strong></p>
<p>Working within a dynamic team of dedicated educators, you will deliver high-quality Health and Physical Education programs that inspire students to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead active, healthy lifestyles. You will create engaging and differentiated learning experiences that promote participation, wellbeing and lifelong learning. While the role has a primary focus, the successful applicant may be required to teach Health and Physical Education across Prep to Year 10.</p>
<p>This role includes responsibility for student safety and wellbeing, requiring compliance with the College's Child Safe Standards, policies and procedures, and all relevant legislative and duty of care obligations.</p>
<p><strong>This is a full-time fixed-term opportunity for Term 4, 2026, providing Long Service Leave cover.</strong></p>

<p><strong>About You</strong></p>

<li>Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications in Health and Physical Education and Primary Education</li>
<li>Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging Health and Physical Education programs aligned with ACARA and QCAA</li>
<li>Passion for quality teaching and learning with the ability to foster strong student engagement and academic achievement</li>
<li>Ability to differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs</li>
<li>Experience incorporating innovative teaching practices and digital technologies</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues</li>

<li>Commitment to upholding child safety, student wellbeing, duty of care and appropriate professional conduct within a school environment</li>
<li>Ability to comply with and uphold the College's Child Safety and Wellbeing policies, procedures and Staff Code of Conduct</li>
<li>Ability to create and maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students</li>
<li>Completion of mandatory Child Protection, Student Safety and Wellbeing and mandatory reporting training (or willingness to complete prior to commencement)</li>
<li>Responsibility for identifying, responding to and reporting student safety and wellbeing concerns in accordance with legislative requirements and College policies</li>
