<p>This role requires availability <strong>Monday to Friday</strong>, commencing <strong>in July</strong>. Tutors may be required to work at <strong>either our North or South Canberra locations</strong>.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are someone who:</p> <ul> <li>Has a <strong>genuine love of working with children</strong> and a strong commitment to their development</li> <li>Is patient, encouraging, and able to build strong rapport with students</li> <li>If not experienced but willing to learn about teaching reading and writing using an <strong>explicit, structured teaching approach</strong></li> <li><strong>You have experience teaching the writing process to high school students who may be neurodiverse</strong></li> <li>Is confident working with students who may have learning difficulties or language processing delays</li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal Background</strong></p> <p>This position would suit:</p> <ul> <li>A <strong>retired or semi-retired learning support teacher</strong></li> <li>Educators with <strong>special education training</strong></li> <li>Tutors with prior experience delivering <strong>explicit literacy instruction</strong></li> <li>Someone with<strong> prior exposure to learning difficulties</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Preference will be given to candidates with:</strong></p> <ul> <li>MSL and/or SPELD training</li> <li>Experience teaching or supporting children on the <strong>Autism Spectrum</strong></li> </ul>
