<p><strong>Position:&nbsp;</strong>Teacher (Inclusive Education)<br><strong>Start date:</strong> Term 3, 2026<br><strong>Employment Status: </strong>Full time contract<br><strong>Salary: </strong>$86,600 - $126,795 (pending experience)&nbsp;<br><strong>Applications Close:</strong> Monday, 20 July 2026</p> <p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></p> <p>Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Gracemere.&nbsp;This is a full-time contract position to commence as soon as able until 17 January 2027.&nbsp;</p> <p>Under the direction of the Principal and in collaboration with classroom teachers the Teacher (Inclusive Education) will provide intervention support to students, especially those with specific learning needs. &nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and enable equitable access, participation and achievement for diverse learners through expert support, collaboration and high-impact teaching. They will apply strong knowledge of legislation, including the Disability Standards for Education (2005) and NCCD, and evidence-based practice to support student outcomes and effective case management. The successful applicant will have well developed organisational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team, as well as the ability to work autonomously. &nbsp;Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Provide expert advice on differentiation and adjustments.&nbsp;</li> <li>Working in collaboration with parents, teachers and students to ensure Personal Learning Plans are developed and communicated.</li> <li>Organise and timetable visiting paraprofessionals.</li> <li>Coordinate or contribute to case management processes with parents, teachers and external agencies and ensure timely and accurate NCCD documentation.</li> <li>Build staff capacity through coaching and collaborate with leaders to embed inclusive curriculum and accessible assessment design.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Applications are welcome from anyone who would support the school's ethos and possess the following&nbsp;are encouraged to apply:</p> <ul> <li>Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)</li> <li>Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students</li> <li>Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education</li> <li>Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment</li> <li>A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton</li> </ul> <p><strong>About us</strong></p> <p><strong>St Paul’s Catholic Primary School, Gracemere </strong>offers a Catholic education for students from Prep to Year 6.</p> <p>At St Paul’s School we endeavour to create an inclusive, compassionate environment in which we live, love and learn.
