Guided by the love of Jesus, we foster a supportive Catholic environment where students are encouraged to pursue excellence in their learning, character, and faith.<br><br><strong>About You</strong><br><br><strong>As a temporary Stage 4 English and Religion Teacher until the end of the 2026 school year,</strong> you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic environment. You will also join our <strong>Literacy Team</strong> to deliver targeted small-group support and lead the <strong>Mary MacKillop Learning Hub </strong>which provides physical and digital spaces for inquiry, creativity and reading. Through this hub and our library services, you will help students access diverse resources, inspiring active learning and cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration and curiosity. Please note, this is a temporary position until the end of the 2026 school year. You'll bring:</p>
<ul>
<li>expertise in delivering an engaging English and Religion curriculum tailored for Stage 4 students</li>
<li>a collaborative mindset to the Literacy Team, actively delivering targeted, small-group support and interventions</li>
<li>strong management and leadership skills to the Mary MacKillop Learning Hub, fostering a vibrant culture of inquiry, creativity, and reading</li>
<li>the ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences that are tailored to diverse student needs</li>
<li>excellent classroom management skills and a deep, genuine focus on student well-being</li>
<li>prior experience working within a school library, learning commons, or hub environment (Highly Desirable)</li>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a>.</li>
