<p><strong>General Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>• Commit to the College Vision, Purpose, Values and Statement of Faith.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Act in accordance with all College policies and procedures, including the Staff Code of Conduct, and the Staff Handbook.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Develop and maintain positive, restorative and collaborative relationships with staff, students and parents.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Actively contribute to the Christian life of the College community.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Attend the annual College Retreat (compulsory) and other meetings, functions and extra-curricular activities as required.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Participate in the College’s ongoing Professional Learning opportunities.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Role and Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>• Demonstrate continuous improvement aligned with the Portside Christian College philosophy of education and Standards of Professional Practice for Teachers.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Plan and implement teaching and learning programs using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework from a biblical perspective aligned with the Australian Curriculum.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Model and promote best practice in pedagogy, teaching and learning that inspires learners.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Promote a restorative team and learning culture using KARR framework of kindness, agency, respect and responsiveness. • Liaise with the Student Wellbeing Coordinator and Inclusion Support Team as required. Qualifications&nbsp;</p> <p>• South Australian Teacher Registration, or be eligible to obtain registration.&nbsp;</p> <p>• A Bachelor of Education qualification with previous teaching experience highly desirable.&nbsp;</p> <p>• South Australian Government Working with Children Check.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Current First Aid qualification – BELS First Aid training (HLTAID010) at a minimum.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) Training.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Skills and Abilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with students, staff and parents.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Ability to create an engaged, respectful and collaborative classroom culture.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Ability to use data to extend the learning of each student.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Effective time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Ability to be innovative, enthusiastic and self-motivated.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Proficiency in digital technology.&nbsp;</p> <p>• Able to manage the demands of the position including administration and professional</p> <p>Applications close Monday 13 July at 9am.</p>
