We are seeking a suitably experienced Art Technology Assistant to join our College Visual Arts team on a Part-Time, Ongoing (0.60 FTE) basis.

<p><br> We are seeking a suitably experienced Art Technology Assistant to join our College Visual Arts team on a Part-Time, Ongoing (0.60 FTE) basis.<br><br> This position supports the Visual Art, Visual Communication, Media Studies and Studio Art learning areas by assisting teachers in creating a safe, organised and engaging learning environment. The role is responsible for preparing resources, maintaining specialist equipment, supporting practical classroom activities and assisting with exhibitions and displays, while promoting the College's commitment to child safety and student wellbeing.<br><br> The position is based at our Beaconsfield Campus. The successful applicant will work three days per week from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, with the specific working days to be negotiated with the successful candidate.</p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Preparing classrooms, equipment and materials to support a wide range of practical Visual Art, Visual Communication, Media Studies and Studio Art classes.</li> <li>Managing the ordering, receiving, storage and stock control of art materials, equipment and resources to ensure learning spaces are well resourced.</li> <li>Maintaining art rooms, specialist equipment and learning environments to a high standard, ensuring they remain safe, clean and organised.</li> <li>Supporting teachers with practical classroom activities, including preparing materials, cutting resources and assisting with specialised equipment.</li> <li>Operating and maintaining specialist equipment such as kilns, Cricut machines, sublimation printers, large format printers, cameras, sewing machines and overlockers.</li> <li>Maintaining the safe storage, handling and use of chemicals, tools and equipment in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements.</li> <li>Assisting with the preparation, installation and presentation of student artwork for internal displays, exhibitions and College events.</li> <li>Managing textile resources, laundering aprons and smocks, and maintaining equipment to support day-to-day teaching programs.</li> <li>Building positive working relationships with staff, students and external suppliers to support the effective delivery of the Visual Arts curriculum.</li> <li>Undertaking additional duties as reasonably directed by the Principal or Leadership Team.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational, creative or arts-based environment.</li> <li>A background in visual arts, studio art, textiles or a related discipline would be highly regarded.</li> <li>Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage resources, stock and competing priorities.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, students and suppliers.</li> <li>The ability to work independently, use initiative and contribute effectively as part of a collaborative team.</li> <li>Experience using, or the willingness to learn, specialist equipment including Cricut machines, sublimation printers, large format printers, cameras, screen printing equipment, sewing machines, overlockers and kilns.</li> <li>Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, or the ability to quickly learn new software and technologies.</li> <li>A commitment to maintaining safe work practices and promoting a clean, organised and compliant learning environment.</li> <li>High
