<p><strong>About Us</strong></p> <p>Join a dedicated educational community where your financial expertise supports our mission. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented <strong>Accounts Payable Officer</strong> to manage our outgoing cash flow, protect supplier trust, and ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations.</p> <p>As a Christian school community, we are looking for a candidate who shares our values and demonstrates an active faith and involvement in their local Protestant church.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>As part of the Finance team, your core duties will include:</p> <ul> <li><strong>End-to-End Invoice Processing:</strong> Review, verify, code, and match vendor invoices with POs and delivery receipts.</li> <li><strong>Payment Execution:</strong> Schedule, authorize, and run timely payments (EFT, BPay).</li> <li><strong>Reconciliations:</strong> Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and track employee expenses/corporate credit cards.</li> <li><strong>Vendor Management:</strong> Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, maintaining accurate tax and banking records.</li> <li><strong>Month-End Support:</strong> Assist with month-end closing activities, accruals, and journals.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will need:</p> <ul> <li><strong>The Right Experience:</strong> Demonstrated experience in an accounts payable or bookkeeping role.</li> <li><strong>Technical Proficiency:</strong> Advanced working knowledge of <strong>Microsoft Excel</strong> is mandatory. Experience with accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP) and Google Suite is highly regarded.</li> <li><strong>Sharp Attention to Detail:</strong> Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to spot discrepancies and manage multiple deadlines.</li> <li><strong>Faith &amp; Values Alignment:</strong> An active faith, involvement in a local Protestant church, and a competent understanding of the biblical narrative and Gospel themes.</li> <li><strong>Integrity &amp; Discretion:</strong> Ability to handle confidential, sensitive financial data with utmost trustworthiness.</li> <li><strong>Compliance:</strong> A current <strong>Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP)</strong> registration.</li> </ul> <p><i>Qualifications in Bookkeeping, a Diploma of Accounting, or a Finance/Business degree are highly desirable but not mandatory if backed by solid experience.</i></p> <p><strong>To Apply</strong></p> <p>If you are a motivated finance professional looking for a meaningful part-time role, we would love to hear from you.
