St. Richard's Primary School is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative Physical Education Teacher Fixed Term 6 months (approximately 1 and 1/2 days)

<p>We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic Physical Education teacher to take classes Prep (Foundation) to Year 6. Ideally the successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of the current Victorian Curriculum and the ability to design engaging PE lessons for F-6 students.</p> <p>The position will ideally commence early in Term 3 and run until the end of the school year with the possibility of further tenure dependent upon staffing. There is a possibility of extra FTE capacity in partnership with another local Catholic primary school.<br><br> As a <strong>Physical Education Teacher</strong>, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:</p> <ul> <li>expertise in developing a F-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies</li> <li>experience in teaching Physical Education and undertaking administrative tasks for school events and representative opportunities</li> <li>strong student and class management and student well-being focus</li> <li>ability to create differentiated, inclusive, rigorous learning experiences for all students</li> <li>ability to fulfil additional responsibilities, including coordinating school sporting activities/events.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Applicants must:</strong></p> <p>Have a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and Catholic identity of the school</p> <p>Be innovative, enthusiastic and collaborative with a strong focus on the science of learning to ensure high student outcomes</p> <p>Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the Visions for Instruction and Engagement</p> <p>Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the Science of Learning and how this impacts student outcomes</p> <p>Display an enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum to support student learning</p> <p>Have an understanding of Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) and the implementation of this to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments</p> <p>Demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues</p> <p>Provide students with a child-safe environment</p> <p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p> <p>Possess VIT registration</p> <p>Be familiar and comply with all requirements of Child Safety, policies and legal responsibilities concerning the safety, care and wellbeing of all students.</p> <p>St Richard's has a commitment to child safe practices and zero tolerance for abuse.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
