<p>Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers&nbsp;a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.</p> <p>The College is currently inviting applications from qualified and experienced psychologists for the Head of Psychological Services. The Head of Psychological Services manages a team of qualified Counsellors, who works collaboratively with other members of the Pastoral Care team to provide specialised assistance in regard to individual counselling, liaison and case management, and referrals to external professionals/agencies as well as providing advice and resources for teachers and parents.</p> <p>The position is full-time, 12-month fixed term contract (maternity leave), commencing Term 4, 2026.</p> <p><strong>SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>be a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and a member, or eligible to be a member of APS</li> <li>maintain registration through attendance at appropriate professional development as required by AHPRA, APS and the Psychology Board of Australia</li> </ul> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate:</p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;be familiar with psychological and education assessment tools such as WISC IV and other measures of cognitive ability</li> <li>must have experience in an educational context and preferably boy’s education</li> <li>must have ability to foster strong, trust based relationships with psychology team, leadership and pastoral team.</li> <li>demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College</li> <li>demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team</li> <li>demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people</li> </ul> <p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p> <p>Application must be submitted via our online system and should include the following information in PDF format:</p> <ul> <li>Cover letter</li> <li>Resume which includes details of qualifications, relevant experience and the names and contact details of two referees</li> <li>Copies of academic transcripts</li> </ul> <p>For all questions related to this position please contact Monique Howell <a href="mailto:p&amp;e@riverview.nsw.edu.au?subject=Head%20of%20Psychological%20Services%20%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">p&amp;e@riverview.nsw.edu.au</a></p> <p><strong>Applications close Monday 20 July 2026.</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>Saint Ignatius' College Riverview is committed to protecting children and young people from harm.
