Deputy Principal

The Deputy Principal is a senior executive leadership role responsible for supporting the Principal in the strategic, operational and cultural leadership of Monivae College. The role provides leadership across operational excellence, strategic implementation, governance support, organisational improvement, professional culture, compliance oversight, community engagement and child safety leadership

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the College, ensuring excellence, accountability and alignment with the College's Strategic Intent.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Principal, Executive Leadership Team, Board and wider College community to support the effective operation, sustainability and continuous improvement of the College.</li>
<li>Lead organisational improvement initiatives that strengthen systems, enhance operational efficiency and promote innovation and best practice.</li>
<li>Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing professional culture that supports staff wellbeing, engagement and excellence.</li>
<li>Oversee College-wide operational compliance, ensuring policies, systems and practices meet legislative, regulatory and Catholic education requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain oversight of compliance and operational practices across all College areas, including Boarding.</li>
<li>Serve as the College's Child Safety Lead Officer, providing leadership of the child safety framework and ensuring compliance with all child safety standards and obligations.</li>
<li>Lead the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of child safety systems, risk management and reporting processes.</li>
<li>Coordinate and oversee staff mentoring, coaching and professional learning programs to build staff capability and professional growth.</li>
<li>Support effective communication and community engagement, fostering strong relationships across the College community.</li>
<li>Contribute to strategic planning, governance and organisational decision-making as a standing member of the Executive Leadership Team and other key governance and consultative committees.</li>
<li>Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the College's educational, operational, wellbeing and community functions.</li>
<li>Assume responsibility for the leadership and management of the College in the absence of the Principal, acting as second-in-charge.</li>
