The College is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and qualified VET Building and Construction (Carpentry) Teacher commencing in Term 1, 2027.

<p>Emmaus College is a proudly Catholic co-educational College in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, established in 1980. The College operates over multiple campuses, at Vermont South, Vermont and Burwood. A Senior Campus for Years 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 in Vermont South, a Junior Campus for K to Year 6 in Vermont South (1.8km from the Senior Campus) and a Year 9 Campus in Vermont (1.4km from the Senior Campus) and a VET Campus in Burwood.<br><br><strong>VET Building and Construction (Carpentry) Teacher</strong></p> <p>The College is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and qualified VET Building and Construction (Carpentry) Teacher commencing in Term 1, 2027.<br><br> Applications are welcomed from individuals with a passion for vocational education and training, and a commitment to preparing young people for employment, apprenticeships and further study within the building and construction industry.&nbsp;<br><br> The incumbent will be responsible for delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training and assessment in building and construction, including carpentry, construction methods, workplace safety, the use of hand and power tools, measurement and calculations, material handling, and basic construction techniques. The role also requires maintaining compliance with Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) requirements and the Standards for RTOs (2025), while supporting positive student learning outcomes and engagement.<br><br> The successful applicant will work minimum one day per week (FTE 0.20) in an ongoing capacity.&nbsp;<br><br> The successful applicant will be committed to the ethos of a Catholic school.<br><br><strong>Applications close 9:00am Friday 26 June 2026.&nbsp;</strong><br><br><i>Emmaus College is committed to the creation and maintenance of a child-safe school environment.
