St Paul’s Lutheran Primary School is seeking an outstanding educator and visionary leader to serve as our next Teaching Principal starting in Term 1, 2027. Located in the heart of the vibrant Riverina region in New South Wales, our school provides a high-quality, Christ-centered education for 41 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Located in the heart of the vibrant Riverina region in New South Wales, our school provides a high-quality, Christ-centered education for 41 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.</p> <p><strong>The Opportunity</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>As a Teaching Principal in our close-knit country community, you will provide spiritual, educational, and operational leadership while remaining deeply connected to the classroom. This is an exciting time to lead our school as we implement our strategic intentions and a new School Masterplan designed to ensure our continued growth and flourishing.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Spiritual Leadership:</strong> Model a strong Christian faith and uphold the Lutheran identity and ethos of the school in partnership with the St Paul’s Lutheran Church congregation.</li> <li><strong>Educational Excellence:</strong> Provide strong instructional leadership, fostering contemporary, evidence-based pedagogy and overseeing a curriculum that meets all NSW Syllabus requirements.</li> <li><strong>Relational Management:</strong> Build trusting, positive relationships with staff, students, families, and the wider Henty community.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Stewardship:</strong> Lead the school’s strategic direction, financial sustainability, and compliance obligations in collaboration with the School Board and LEVNT.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Teaching Component</strong> This position includes a 0.6 FTE teaching component (3 days per week), allowing you to model best-practice pedagogy and maintain a direct, daily connection with our students.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong> The successful candidate will be a compassionate, visible, and professional leader who possesses:</p> <ul> <li><strong>A practising Christian faith</strong> as an active member of a Christian congregation, being either a communicant member of the Lutheran Church of Australia/New Zealand (LCANZ), open to joining the LCA/NZ, or willing to undergo a 'colloquy' process.</li> <li><strong>Accreditation to lead a Lutheran school</strong> (or a commitment to engage in this process upon appointment).</li> <li><strong>Proven senior leadership and teaching experience</strong>, with a clear vision for driving educational improvement and student wellbeing.</li> <li><strong>Eligibility for registration</strong> with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why St Paul’s Henty?</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>A Supportive Network:</strong> You will receive extensive support, including transition guidance from our outgoing principal, shared business and financial services through the Riverina Hub, and collegial wellbeing support from neighbouring Lutheran school leaders.</li> <li><strong>Exceptional Community Spirit:</strong> Our active Parents &amp; Friends Association is a powerhouse of support, famously raising significant funds through catering at the annual Henty Machinery Field Days.</li> <li><strong>Wonderful Facilities:</strong> Enjoy agile learning spaces, a new 'risky play' playground, a large covered outdoor learning area (COLA), and a picturesque nature play area.</li> <li><strong>Rural Lifestyle:</strong> Henty offers the best of country living—a welcoming atmosphere with beautiful open spaces, just a 45-minute drive from both Wagga Wagga and Albury.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Employment Conditions</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>A competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with experience and guided by Lutheran Education VIC, NSW &amp; TAS (LEVNT).
