Chevalier College seeks applications for this part time (0.5 FTE) temporary 12-month Visual Arts Teacher role for Years 7-10, commencing Term 3 2026 through to end of Term 2 2027.

As such, the Teacher of Junior Visual Arts will be required to:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>support and assist the mission of Catholic education in the way of Jules Chevalier and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC)</li> <li>see themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning</li> <li>work collaboratively with other teachers to design learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding</li> <li>enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including learner agency, self-regulated learning, critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student</li> <li>use summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for key learning outcomes</li> <li>demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum which informs subject disciplinary knowledge</li> <li>use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning</li> <li>regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle</li> <li>be open to growth and development through professional learning experiences which include classroom observations, practice analysis conversations and input from Leaders of Learning and,&nbsp;</li> <li>know and apply New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) guidelines.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Information</strong></p> <ul> <li>This role is a temporary 12-month, part time 0.5 FTE position.</li> <li>Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.&nbsp;</li> <li>This is a child-related position.
