Role</strong></p> <p>In this specialist advisory role, you will work closely with principals and school teams to support effective, student-centred decision-making for students with diverse learning needs.</p> <p>Drawing on your expertise in disability, learning diversity and inclusive education, you will provide professional guidance, coaching and collaborative case support to strengthen school capability and confidence, ensuring every student can access, participate and thrive in learning.</p> <p>The Diverse Learning Specialist role has a strong focus on NCCD compliance requirements, reasonable adjustments, inclusive practice, and the application of relevant legislation, including the Disability Standards for Education.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work in partnership with principals and school teams to support informed, student-centred decision-making for students and families.</li> <li>Provide specialist advice and guidance in supporting students with complex profiles including enrolment of students, disability provisions, significant adjustments, attendance concerns.</li> <li>Contribute to case collaboration and coordinated, multidisciplinary responses.</li> <li>Design and deliver professional learning that builds consistent and effective inclusive practice across schools.</li> <li>Maintain accurate, timely documentation and records in line with legislative and safeguarding requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with Learning Partners, other specialists and system teams to ensure coherent support to schools.</li> <li>Contribute professional insight and data to support system planning and continuous improvement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>In addition, as Diverse Learning Specialist you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide expert guidance on the implementation of reasonable adjustments and the application of the Disability Standards for Education 2005.</li> <li>Support schools to develop high-quality, personalised learning adjustments and individual learning plans that are tailored to each student’s strengths and needs.</li> <li>Advise on disability-related funding evidence, resourcing and compliance requirements within the Catholic Schools Broken Bay context.</li> <li>Support and advise school staff inclusive teaching practice, confidence and capability across all year levels.</li> <li>Support schools to navigate complex enrolment considerations involving students with disability or diverse learning needs.</li> <li>Contribute to the development and refinement of system policy, resources, guidelines and processes that strengthen inclusive education across the system.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are a knowledgeable, compassionate professional with specialist expertise in diverse learning and disability support, and a practical approach to partnering with schools to create inclusive environments where every student can succeed.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated expertise in diverse learning, disability, and/or inclusive education, including sound knowledge of the Disability Standards for Education (2005).</li> <li>Experience developing personalised learning plans, reasonable adjustments and utilising Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).</li> <li>Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policy and compliance requirements relating to disability and student support.</li> <li>Experience supporting schools through specialist advisory work.</li> <li>Ability to translate allied health assessments and screeners and other complex information into clear, actionable strategies for teachers and school leaders to implement.</li> <li>Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and complex case contexts.</li> <li>Excellent communication, professional judgement and documentation skills.</li> <li>Experience working in or alongside school settings is highly regarded.</li> <li>Qualifications in
