Kildare Catholic College are seeking a Permanent Part-time Student Wellbeing Officer to commence as soon as possible.

<p><strong>Your New Role</strong></p>
<p>The role of the School Chaplain/Student Wellbeing Officer is to: </p>
<ul>
<li>Provide support for the holistic wellbeing of students </li>
<li>Help to foster positive key interpersonal relationships within the school (inc. student-staff, student-student, and home-staff) </li>
<li>Liaise with community service organisations when required </li>
<li>Create opportunities for the social and emotional development of students. </li>
<li>Enhance student engagement with the parish and broader community. </li>
<li>Support pastoral care initiatives as requested.</li>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate Christian values when engaging with children, parents, staff and the general public.</li>
<li>Demonstrate the ability to perform the role as outlined by the National School Wellbeing Program. </li>
<li>Have an understanding of childhood development and the issues pertinent to children/young people</li>
<li>Have the confidence, ability and experience to communicate and work with children/young people. </li>
<li>Implement a student focused approach when working with key stakeholders. </li>
<li>Demonstrate the ability to work consistently and positively within a team. </li>
<li>Ensure that timely records are maintained on the service provided to the school. </li>
<li>Meet the NSWP’s minimum qualification requirements (a Certificate IV in Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent</li>
<li>Experience in making appropriate referrals, providing pastoral care, and/or experience working with youth.</li>
<li>NSW Working with Children Check</li>
<li>Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check</li>
<li>Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A,<a href="https://cedww.app.lumapps.com/intranet/evangelisation-religious-education/work-teach-lead" rel="nofollow"> </a><a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aCbIP5U7RUVpmXSRFNJjPniiJAxX9Kc7W7RNmEFGV8s/edit?usp=sharing" rel="nofollow"><u>Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools,</u></a> Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.</li>
