St Joseph the Worker Primary School is an integral part of the faith community of Reservoir and is one of two parish primary schools. St Joseph the Worker is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at St Joseph the Worker Primary School.
We are currently inviting applications for a full-time Primary Teacher position, commencing in Term 3, 2026.
This is a fixed-term appointment, with the potential for ongoing employment for the successful candidate

<p>Salary: $79,589 - $118,063, based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (<i>CEMEA</i>)</p>

<p><strong>The Successful Applicant Will Possess:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>An understanding of the MACS 2030 Strategy, including the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement.</li>
<li>A passion for teaching and building strong relationships with students</li>
<li>The ability to lead the learning in the classroom including principals of explicit instruction e.g. retrieval and review, checking for understanding and provision of purposeful feedback etc.</li>
<li>An ability to foster a classroom culture where mistakes are seen as valuable learning opportunities</li>
<li>A collaborative mindset and commitment to working with our school community to improve student learning outcomes</li>
<li>Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and evidence-based teaching practices</li>
<li>The ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for all students</li>
<li>Proficiency in the use of technology to enhance student learning</li>
<li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school, or a commitment to undertake this study in the future</li>
<li>A willingness to comply with the school’s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct</li>

<p><strong>Special Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>The successful applicant will hold the current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</li>
<li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification</li>
