<p>We are seeking an experienced and passionate HSIE Teacher to join our dedicated team for a <strong>12-month maternity leave position, commencing in Term 3, 2026.</strong> The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic educator who fosters academic excellence, demonstrates a passion for teaching and learning, and is committed to supporting students in achieving their full potential.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching HSIE subjects, with a particular focus on Stage 6 Business Studies.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching and learning experiences across HSIE subjects.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a strong ability to teach Stage 6 Business Studies.</li>
<li>Plan, prepare, assess, and report on student learning in accordance with NESA requirements.</li>
<li>Apply effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive and productive learning environment.</li>
<li>Use data-informed practices to enhance student learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with colleagues to support faculty initiatives and whole-school programs.</li>
<li>Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.</li>
<li>Model a strong commitment to the Christian ethos and Coptic Orthodox values of the College.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<p>Applicants should address the following criteria in their written response (maximum two pages):</p>
<ol>
<li>Proven experience teaching Stage 6 Business Studies, with demonstrated student success.</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge, ability to program units of work and familiarity with the new NESA HSIE Stage 6 syllabus.</li>
<li>Confidence in understanding and applying the NESA ACE Manual and its requirements.</li>
<li>Capacity to use data-informed practices to enhance student learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Demonstrated effective classroom management and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.</li>
<li>Commitment to professional learning, reflective teaching practice, and collaboration with colleagues.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.</li>
<li>Capacity to uphold and promote the Christian ethos and Coptic Orthodox values of the College in all aspects of school life.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A recognised teaching qualification and current NESA accreditation.</li>
<li>Minimum Proficient Teacher NESA accreditation.</li>
<li>Experience teaching HSIE subjects, particularly Stage 6 Business Studies.</li>
<li>Current and valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).</li>
