They have been instrumental in leading a Faculty known for its exceptional teaching and outstanding academic results, and ensuring a culture of professional excellence, and innovation in the Science education of girls.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In seeking their replacement, we are looking for someone to continue to provide dynamic, effective and ethical leadership of the Faculty, and ensure the continuing quality and excellence of the teaching of Science across PLC Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><i>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</i></p> <ul> <li><strong>Lead the Science Faculty:</strong> Provide direction and model best practice teaching &amp; learning strategies for staff. Develop faculty culture and staff skills &amp; capabilities through mentoring and professional development opportunities</li> <li><strong>Academic Excellence: </strong>Ensure the high-quality teaching of Science and the education of girls, initiating reforms as appropriate, across both the Senior &amp; Junior schools. Contribute to the quality of Science education as part of the College's vision and strategy</li> <li><strong>Curriculum Development and Compliance:</strong> Develop, implement and supervise NESA and Cambridge International Science curriculums, ensuring compliance with education standards for both.</li> </ul> <p><i>The ideal candidate will require:&nbsp;</i></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience in a significant Science leadership role</li> <li>A deep and broad knowledge of Science and contemporary developments in the teaching of Science and the education of girls</li> <li>Expert current knowledge of the NESA curriculums.
