These principles are embedded in our curriculum, fostering an atmosphere of respect, integrity, and empathy.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>The College seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and/or experienced Library Technician&nbsp;to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to staff and students, maintaining the daily operations of the library, and working collaboratively with the Teacher Librarian to develop students’ 21st-century inquiry learning skills and support lifelong learning.</p> <p>This is a temporary part-time position (2 days per week), available for an immediate start through to the end of Term 4, 2026, with the possibility of extension.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain a positive and respectful library environment that fosters student learning</li> <li>Provide direct customer support to students and teaching staff regarding library services and resources</li> <li>Facilitate access to information resources through efficient systems for organising, retrieving, and circulating materials</li> <li>Supervise students during recess, lunch, study periods, and Homework Club (outside school hours)</li> <li>Support student engagement and learning initiatives in collaboration with the Teacher Librarian</li> <li>Maintain library resources, records, and systems, including cataloguing and classification</li> <li>Operate a wide range of digital technologies and platforms</li> <li>Manage library resources and student information systems (including Oliver v5)</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant ALIA-accredited Library Technician qualifications (Certificate IV or Diploma in Library and Information Services)</li> <li>Previous experience working in a library (school, public, or tertiary)</li> <li>Experience or familiarity with Library Management Systems</li> <li>Strong digital technology skills</li> <li>Flexible and willing to learn new skills</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively within a small team as well as independently</li> <li>Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills</li> <li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities</li> <li>High ethical standards and a willingness to actively support the ethos of the College</li> <li>A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)<br> &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Applications close: Monday, 18 May 2026</strong> <i>(interviews may commence prior to the closing date).</i></p> <p>Salaries are based on the Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 (and paid above the Agreed rate).</p> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>Applications must be submitted in writing and emailed to <strong><a href="mailto:hr@acs.nsw.edu.au?subject=Library%20Technician%20%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">hr@acs.nsw.edu.au</a></strong> by the closing date.</p> <p>Your application should include:</p> <ol> <li><strong>Cover Letter</strong><br> A cover letter (maximum one page) addressing the essential criteria and outlining your suitability for the position.</li> <li><strong>Curriculum Vitae (CV)</strong><br> Your CV should include the details of at least two referees.
