<p>We are seeking an experienced and organised <strong>Science Laboratory Manager</strong> to lead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our science laboratories. This <strong>permanent full</strong>‑<strong>time position worked during term time only</strong> is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, student‑focused environment and enjoys supporting high‑quality practical learning.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily laboratory operations, equipment maintenance and WHS compliance&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage chemical storage, handling, labelling and disposal (SafeWork NSW, GHS, Chemwatch)&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare materials, solutions and equipment for practical science lessons&nbsp;</li> <li>Support teaching staff with experiment planning and data logging tools (Pasco)&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead and support Laboratory staff and oversee daily operations&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications in Applied Science (e.g. Diploma or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques) or a related field&nbsp;</li> <li>Laboratory experience (school setting preferred) with strong WHS and chemical safety knowledge&nbsp;</li> <li>Skilled in preparing risk assessments and compliance documentation&nbsp;</li> <li>Highly organised with strong communication and teamwork skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Current WWCC (or willingness to obtain one), First Aid Certificate, WHS training and NSW driver’s licence&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why join us</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>St Patrick’s College Strathfield is a leading Catholic independent school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition, educating over 1,630 students from Years 5 to 12.
