<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Teach Music across the Secondary School (Years 7-12).</li>
<li>Provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities for students.</li>
<li>Music is a high priority at Emmaus Christian College. The successful applicant will join a small music team led by the Music Coordinator/ Key Teacher. </li>
<li>Leadership of Secondary School Big band/ Jazz ensembles.</li>
<li>Work cooperatively with colleagues in a team setting providing a curriculum which is challenging and engaging for students.</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with other staff to ensure a distinctive Christian education by motivating, inspiring and aligning practice with the College Vision, Mission and Values.</li>

<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A committed Christian with a deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.</li>
<li>Demonstrated passion for Biblically-based Christian education.</li>
<li>An appropriate qualification in Teacher Education, ideally with a major in Music Education.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a passion for and have a sound understanding of Secondary School Music Education </li>
<li>Demonstrated passion and ability to teach students across Years 7-12.</li>
<li>Be willing to contribute to the spiritual and worship life of the College, in particular, through music.</li>
<li>Be able to help students discern their choice of music. </li>
<li>A demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential, catering for students with a range of learning abilities.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff, parents and students. </li>
<li>Demonstrated ability in problem solving, flexibility, priority setting, time management and event organisation.</li>
<li>Current Teachers’ Registration, valid Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC and First Aid certification.</li>
