Together, academic staff and corporate staff provide an outstanding educational environment for students to grow and flourish.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a reliable <strong>Café Assistant</strong> to join our Springfield Food Services Department. In this role, you will support food preparation and service, assist with ordering and stock control, and provide friendly, efficient service to students, staff, and parents, including support with online orders.</p> <p>Working under the supervision of the Manager Administration and Operations, you will contribute to a positive team culture and uphold high standards of service and professionalism.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation and service of food including organising online orders.</li> <li>Support with stock rotation in the cafe.</li> <li>Assist parents, staff and students with online orders and enquiries.</li> <li>Follow and assist with the implementation of workplace health and safety procedures and food safety and food hygiene practices.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist with administrative processes as directed for the effective achievement of College outcomes.</li> <li>Represent the College positively in engaging with the community.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in a tuckshop/canteen and operating basic tuckshop equipment and holds/is willing to obtain an "I'm Alert" Food Safety Certificate.</li> <li>Experience working in a fast-paced setting, including the ability to work independently with limited supervision.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Highly developed organisational and time management skills.</li> <li>Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.</li> </ul> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>To apply, please submit your cover letter and curriculum vitae, demonstrating how you meet the requirements of the Position Description by clicking on the Apply button provided.
