Teams collaborate to strengthen a culture of continuous growth, reflecting our commitment to lifelong learning for all members of our community.</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Psychologist – Team Leader</strong> to lead our Counselling Services team and contribute to whole school wellbeing practice.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;About the Role</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong>The Senior Psychologist – Team Leader provides clinical leadership and strategic oversight of counselling services across the College. Balancing direct clinical work with complex and high risk students alongside team leadership, this role plays a key part in promoting student mental health, engagement and wellbeing.</p> <p>Working closely with school leaders, staff, families and external providers, the role contributes to a coordinated, preventative and responsive wellbeing framework aligned with the College mission.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Leading and overseeing the delivery of counselling services across the College.</li> <li>Providing specialist assessment, intervention and case management for complex students.</li> <li>Managing referral, triage and allocation processes.</li> <li>Leading and supervising the Counselling Services team.</li> <li>Building staff capacity through consultation and professional learning.</li> <li>Contributing to service development, data informed planning and critical incident response.</li> <li>Upholding ethical practice, child safety obligations and Catholic education values.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong>The successful candidate will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Strong clinical expertise and experience supporting complex and high risk presentations.</li> <li>Proven leadership and supervision capability within a multidisciplinary setting.</li> <li>Sound judgement, strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.</li> <li>A trauma informed, inclusive and collaborative approach.</li> <li>Commitment to the Vision, Mission and values of John Paul College.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current AHPRA registration as a psychologist.</li> <li>Relevant postgraduate qualifications.</li> <li>Experience working in, or with a strong understanding of, educational settings (preferred).</li> <li>Endorsement as an Educational Psychologist (desirable).</li> <li>Valid Working with Children Check.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join John Paul College:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A supportive and faith informed professional environment.</li> <li>Opportunities to influence whole school wellbeing practice.</li> <li>Ongoing professional learning and leadership development.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full-time, ongoing position</li> <li>Commencing as soon as possible</li> <li>Category B, Level 5, Education Support Employee under the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application will close:</strong></p> <p>Wednesday 22 April at 4.00pm.
