<p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>
As a <strong>Literacy Intervention Teacher</strong>, you will oversee and implement effective literacy intervention at St Luke's Catholic Primary School Revesby. Through identifying and promptly addressing specific literacy difficulties that students may encounter, you are able to implement rich, targeted interventions, accelerate literacy development, and monitor and support students in building strong foundations that enable future educational success. Your duties will include but are not limited to:</p>
<ul>
<li>overseeing the effective implementation of literacy intervention at the school</li>
<li>identifying students achieving below grade-level expectations by collaboratively analysing a range of data, and prioritising eligibility and participation in the appropriate intervention program</li>
<li>providing relevant, appropriate, and daily literacy intervention instruction, with fidelity, to a designated number of K-2 students daily</li>
<li>collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure alignment of intervention strategies with classroom instruction</li>
<li>maintaining open communication with the parents of students receiving the intervention, updating them on selection to intervention, and regularly reporting progress</li>
<li>maintaining detailed records of each student's selection, progress, and attendance, including entering their intervention program data into the SCS system platform in a timely manner, and communicating these to classroom teachers, Principals, parents, and SCS personnel.</li>
</ul>
<p>You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation at the Proficient level (at a minimum) of the Australian Professional Standard for Teachers</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a></li>
<li>minimum 5 years teaching experience</li>
<li>the SCS/ACU Foundational Phonics Intervention Program online course on CANVAS.</li>
