<p>We are currently seeking a full time Learning Support Officer, commencing Term 2, 2026. This is a maternity leave replacement contract.&nbsp;</p> <p>This role is part of the Learning Diversity Team, working with teachers in the classroom to support students with their learning needs.&nbsp;</p> <p>De La Salle College is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern and Malvern East. &nbsp;De La Salle College&nbsp;is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at De La Salle College.</p> <p>&nbsp;Remuneration is based on experience in accordance with the Education Support Officer – Category B scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (<i>CEMEA</i>)</p> <p><strong>Job description:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working in partnership with subject teachers, to support student learning;</li> <li>Attending to the care of the students, supporting their organisation skills, preparedness for class and access to the curriculum;</li> <li>Working with students in the class setting, providing 1:1 instructional support;</li> <li>Providing support for a student’s academic learning, behaviour program, physical care, or social progress throughout the entirety of a school day, including class and recess times;</li> <li>Assisting with the identification of student needs, skills and problems as they arise, and the evaluation of their progress, keeping the Educational Support Teacher informed at all times;</li> <li>Liaising with other Education Support personnel and teaching staff in order to maintain a comprehensive support program;</li> <li>Undertaking various administrative duties.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills/Experience required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li> <li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students and colleagues.</li> <li>An eagerness to learn</li> <li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.</li> <li>Experience in a similar role is advantageous&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Requirements:</strong></p> <p>At De La Salle College, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount.
