<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>We are currently seeking Casual Early Childhood Coeducators to support our OSHC program.</p>
<p>This role is ideal for uni students studying Education or Early Childhood, offering valuable hands-on experience working with children while completing your studies.</p>
<p>Working under the direction of the Centre Leaders, you will assist in delivering engaging programs that cater to the individual needs of children within a group setting. Key responsibilities include supervising and interacting with children, assisting with activities, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment.<br>
</p>
<p>This role includes a strong responsibility for child safety and wellbeing, ensuring all practices align with legislative requirements and the College’s Child Safety and Wellbeing framework.</p>
<p>We offer <strong>flexible casual hours</strong>, including mornings, afternoons and vacation care, making this an excellent opportunity for Education students seeking practical experience alongside their studies.</p>
<p><strong>About you</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent); or</li>
<li>Currently studying an Early Childhood or Education-related qualification</li>
<li>Current Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting certificate, or ability to obtain</li>
<li>Current ACECQA-approved Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management Training, or ability to obtain</li>
<li>Ability to support engaging programs for children in a group setting</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment</li>
<li>A professional, reliable and proactive approach</li>
</ul>
<p>We will consider both new-to-industry and experienced candidates. For those new to industry (and not currently studying), commencement and successful completion of a Certificate III and required accreditations will be a mandatory requirement.</p>
<p><strong>Child Safety and Wellbeing</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong> </strong>Hold or be able to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)</li>
<li>Demonstrated understanding of child safety, duty of care and mandatory reporting obligations</li>
<li>Completion of accredited Child Protection Training</li>
<li>Completion of Child Safety Training in accordance with Child Safe Standards (e.g. CHCPRT025 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain upon commencement</li>
<li>Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all children</li>
<li>Commitment to complying with the College’s Student Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures</li>
