<p><strong>Status: &nbsp;</strong>Permanent<strong>&nbsp;</strong>position - 0.6 FTE to Full Time&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Faculty:</strong> Art &amp; Design</p> <p><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> Term 2, 2026</p> <p><strong>Position Location:</strong> Burgmann Anglican School, 4 The Valley Avenue, Gungahlin</p> <p><strong>Line Management:</strong> This position will be responsible to the Head of Senior School through the&nbsp;Art &amp; Design Faculty Leader and ultimately to the Principal.</p> <p>Burgmann Anglican School is an Early Childhood to Year 12 School with campuses located at Gungahlin and Forde.<br><br> The school prides itself on its innovative and creative approach to curriculum and education and its strong sense of community and pastoral care of the students and their families and the staff of the school. The school has a strong link with the Gungahlin Anglican Church which shares facilities and resources with the school.</p> <p><strong>Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver a curriculum to Senior School students from Years 9-12 allowing for different learning styles and academic needs</li> <li>Prepare course materials&nbsp;</li> <li>Work collaboratively with other members of the Senior School team</li> <li>Participate in curriculum development</li> <li>Participate in professional development activities&nbsp;</li> <li>Liaise with students and parents&nbsp;</li> <li>Participate in the school’s co-curricular program</li> <li>Support the Christian ethos of an Anglican School</li> <li>Other duties as required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Pastoral Care</strong></p> <ul> <li>Take responsibility for a Pastoral Care class, including:</li> <li>Developing positive relationships with students</li> <li>Monitoring uniform, appearance and student behaviour</li> <li>Teach the Pastoral Care program</li> <li>Liaise with parents regarding academic and pastoral progress of students</li> <li>Undertake administrative tasks required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>A relevant degree as well as a Diploma of Teaching or Education</li> <li>A passion for effective teaching, learning and an innovative mind set</li> <li>Familiarisation with a variety of workshop machinery and technology (eg. CNC router, 3D printers, lathes, etc)</li> <li>Ability to teach all Digital Technologies units and courses.</li> <li>The ability to teach another subject is advantageous (eg.
