Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more then 20,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

<p><strong>THE OPPORTUNITY </strong></p>
<p>The Executive Director of Schools invites applicants from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the temporary full time (maternity leave) position of Strategy and Digital Marketing Specialist with Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW).</p>
<p>Reporting to the Director - Strategy and Communications, this position exists to manage CEDoW’s system-wide digital marketing channels and engage with key stakeholders, the wider community and media to establish partnerships and promote CEDoW.</p>
<p><strong>YOUR IMPACT</strong></p>
<p>As the Strategy and Digital Marketing Specialist, you will: </p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the development, implementation, and governance of the system's overarching digital communications and marketing activities to enhance strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organisational objectives</li>
<li>Develop, implement, and govern system-wide processes for all digital channels, including websites and social media, ensuring compliance, brand alignment, and risk mitigation across schools and the CEO</li>
<li>Act as the principal advisor to the CEO executive and school leadership teams on all matters of digital strategy and performance, emerging digital marketing technologies, and reputational risk related to online communication and digital marketing</li>
<li>Conduct in-depth research and analysis of digital trends, competitor strategies, and stakeholder data to provide insights and data-driven recommendations that inform strategic decision-making at the executive level</li>
<li>Lead the digital marketing performance and analytics function for the system, defining key metrics, monitoring effectiveness, and providing regular reporting to senior leadership</li>
<li>Lead the strategic design and execution of major digital marketing and communication campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and maximise impact</li>
<li>Oversee the governance and strategic direction of CEDoW's corporate digital assets and provide strategic support and oversight for all 38 school social media presences and 9 secondary/K-12 school websites, and direct governance of 29 primary school websites</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p>
<p>To be successful in this role you will have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and govern complex digital strategies that deliver on organisational objectives</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of the digital landscape, including social media, paid advertising, SEO, content marketing, and email marketing</li>
<li>Proven ability to establish an analytics framework, analyse complex datasets using tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite, and translate data into actionable strategic recommendations for an executive audience</li>
<li>Experience providing high-level strategic counsel to senior leaders. Strong influencing and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and drive change in a complex environment</li>
<li>Experience in creating and implementing policies and frameworks for digital platforms</li>
<li>Ability to identify and assess potential risks and opportunities associated with digital strategies</li>
<li>Proven experience leading major, multi-channel digital projects (e.g., website redevelopments, system-wide campaigns) with multiple stakeholders, on time and on budget</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.</li>
</ul>
