The International French School of Sydney is currently looking for an experienced History & Geography Teacher to join the team on a permanent basis.

<p><strong>This is an Ongoing, Full-time contract starting on 01/08/2026.</strong></p> <p>As a Secondary Teacher, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Teach the History and Geography curriculum in French to secondary school students (Years 6 to 12)</li> <li>Prepare students for examinations</li> <li>Teach within the framework of the fundamental principles of the French and Australian educational systems with high standards expected</li> <li>Embrace the French-Australian work culture of our School</li> <li>An ability to teach across different subject areas would be an advantage</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>What we offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Multicultural and unique environment</li> <li>Access to local recognised professional development</li> <li>Remuneration as per Independent Schools NSW CMEA&nbsp;</li> <li>Flexible and multi-cultural environment</li> <li>Significant investment in staff professional growth and development</li> <li>Parking and Canteen on-site</li> </ul> <p>About the ideal candidate:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree + Master's degree in education + competitive examination (CAPES/Agrégation), subject to assessment by Australian agencies</li> <li>Minimum of 4 years' full-time experience</li> <li>Previous experience in the French Education system, in collège and lycée</li> <li>Native speaker French plus English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS overall band score of at least 5.0, with no component below 4.5</li> <li>Knowledge of the AEFE network and the French education system abroad</li> <li>Ability to teach across subject areas is highly regarded</li> <li>Relational and reflective classroom teacher and collaborative community member focused on improving educational outcomes&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to engage with students using inclusive and innovative pedagogical practices</li> </ul>
