<p><strong>Contract type : Ongoing, Full-time, Salary from $104,786.00 based on experience</strong></p> <p><strong>Start date: 01/08/2026</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an experienced School Counsellor who is fully bilingual in French and English to join our wellbeing service team. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Provide best-practice support, guidelines and interventions as well as developmentally appropriate counselling for students at all school levels (Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary school levels).&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide support for teachers in the management and assessment of student learning, behaviour and wellbeing concerns.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work with parents or guardians to provide guidance and support in understanding and managing their child’s social, emotional and learning needs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Multicultural and unique environment</li> <li>Access to local recognised professional development</li> <li>Remuneration as per Independent Schools NSW CMEA&nbsp;</li> <li>Flexible and multi-cultural environment</li> <li>Significant investment in staff professional growth and development</li> <li>Parking and Canteen on-site</li> </ul> <p><strong>About the ideal candidate:</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and be an AHPRA registered Psychologist <i>(preferred)</i>.</li> <li>Have practical experience working with children and young persons of all ages in a school environment, and an understanding of the role of Teachers and support staff at school.</li> <li>Have a comprehensive understanding of current educational issues.</li> <li>Have experience dealing with students at risk.</li> <li>Understanding of child protection legislation and guidelines as it applies to schools.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills in French &amp; English</li> </ul>
