The International French School of Sydney is looking for an experienced French Literature Teacher to join the team on a full-time and permanent position.

Our mission is to give students a world-class education in an international environment that allows them to graduate as French-English bilingual citizens of the world.</p> <p><strong>Contract type : Ongoing, Full-time</strong></p> <p><strong>Start date : 1 August 2026</strong></p> <p><strong>About the roles :</strong></p> <ul> <li>Teach the French (classiques&nbsp;and modernes&nbsp;literature) curriculum in French to Secondary school students (Years 6 to 12)</li> <li>Prepare students for examinations</li> <li>Teach within the framework of the fundamental principles of the French and Australian educational systems with high standards expected</li> <li>An ability to teach across different subject areas would be an advantage</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Parking and canteen available on site</li> <li>Discount on tuition fees if your child is enrolled at the Lycée&nbsp;</li> <li>Access to a wide range of local and international vocational training opportunities</li> <li>Remuneration as per the Independent Schools NSW/ACT industrial agreement (Annual full time base between a minimum of $94 155 AUD and a maximum of $133 009 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience)</li> </ul> <p>Desired Skills and Experience</p> <p><strong>About you: Ideally</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent, with previous experience teaching to Secondary School students (up to and including Year 12)</li> <li>Relational and reflective classroom teacher and collaborative community member focused on improving educational outcomes</li> <li>Genuine interest in the growth of young people, and demonstrated ability to engage with students using inclusive and innovative pedagogical practices</li> <li>Ability and interest to teach across different subject areas and programme types would be an advantage - please provide details in your application. Previous experience teaching the International Baccalaureate&nbsp;curriculum will be highly regarded</li> <li>Exposure to teaching in an international school would be beneficial</li> <li>Committed to ongoing professional learning and reflection</li> </ul> <p><br> &nbsp;</p>
