The Technology Specialist Teacher is responsible for delivering a contemporary, engaging, and safe technology program for students from Foundation to Year 6 at St Francis Xavier Primary School. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to integrating technology across all learning areas, fostering curiosity and problem-solving skills, and equipping students with the knowledge and habits required to be safe and responsible digital citizens. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school, while supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the St Francis Xavier community.

<p>St Francis Xavier Primary School is a Catholic school that operates under the Mercy charism with governance from the Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL). Our school has approximately 485 students from Foundation to Year Six. We are situated in a rural pocket of Ballarat East, just minutes from central Ballarat.</p> <p>Our school is committed to a pedagogical approach grounded in the Science of Learning. Applicants should demonstrate an understanding of current practices in technology, including AI, coding and cybersafety in the applied learning context. A growth mindset, commitment to evidence-based teaching, and a passion for student learning are essential.</p> <p>This is a contracted position for a Learning Technologies Teacher, working four days per week.
