At course completion, graduates should acquire the skills and knowledge to:</p> <ul> <li>guide congregations in religious matters</li> <li>lead religious observances.</li> <li>reconcile religious beliefs and practices within modern Australian society.</li> <li>run community development programs.</li> <li>teach Islamic text and sources.</li> <li>provide pastoral care services.</li> </ul> <p>The course is made up of 8 teaching units please refer to: <a href="https://training.gov.au/Training/Details/?id=22628VIC" rel="nofollow">https://training.gov.au/Training/Details/?id=22628VIC</a> for full details of the course.</p> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Diploma of Islamic Leadership Trainer and Assessor. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering the curriculum, ensuring the effective implementation, assessment, and the units of this course.</p> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure the understanding and interpretation of the Diploma units and deliver the units according to the Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS).</li> <li>Ensure that all students are provided with expected learning outcomes, assessment tasks and methods.</li> <li>Deliver class sessions in accordance with each unit outline, setting clear learning goals and providing a range of learning activities, tasks and resources.</li> <li>Facilitate student understanding of assessment tasks, submission deadlines, and marking rubrics.</li> <li>Monitor and record student attendance and progress and report any concerns.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide timely feedback to students on their progress and facilitate their development as responsible independent learners.</li> <li>Stay updated with educational trends and developments in Islamic Shariah, teachings and knowledge to continuously improve curriculum offerings.</li> <li>Participate in assessment validation to ensure improvement in curriculum delivery and rigour of assessments.&nbsp;</li> <li>Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment of students and staff alike.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A valid working with children’s check or VIT registration</li> <li>National Police Check</li> <li>Trainers and assessors who hold&nbsp;<strong>one&nbsp;</strong>of the following:&nbsp; <ul> <li>TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment&nbsp;</li> <li>TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or&nbsp;</li> <li>TAE50216 Diploma in Vocational education and Training&nbsp;&nbsp;(<i>training can be provided to attain one of these qualifications)</i>&nbsp;</li> </ul></li> <li>Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided i.e., Trainers and assessors must be of the Muslim faith and a current Imam, religious instructor or Muslim chaplain, and be able to demonstrate competency in the Arabic language and hold a qualification such as a:&nbsp;</li> <li>Degree (Domestic or International) obtained in Islamic studies&nbsp;<strong>or&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>An Australian Degree that includes Arabic and Islamic studies&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;Note:&nbsp; Trainers and Assessors who hold international qualifications are required to provide an Official Australian Accreditation Recognition letter from the Overseas Curriculum Recognition Unit to validate authenticity of their international qualifications.&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning needs.</li> <li>Demonstrated willingness to be a role model for teaching/assessing/building positive relationships with students</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to identify own learning needs and obtain support for professional development&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Generous remuneration package</li> <li>Equivalent to 13 weeks of holidays.</li> <li>Professional, friendly, and supportive work environment</li> <li>Scope for professional development and growth</li> </ul> <p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p> <p>Interested applicants should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their qualifications and relevant experience to the principal at&nbsp;<a href="mailto:<a href='mailto:careers@icom.vic.edu.au?subject=Trainer%20and%20Assessor%20%E2%80%93%2022628VIC%20Diploma%20of%20Islamic%20Leadership%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29'>careers@icom.vic.edu.au</a>?subject=Trainer%20and%20Assessor%20%E2%80%93%2022628VIC%20Diploma%20of%20Islamic%20Leadership%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29" rel="nofollow"><strong></strong></a><strong><a href="mailto:HR@icom.vic.edu.au?subject=Trainer%20and%20Assessor%20%E2%80%93%2022628VIC%20Diploma%20of%20Islamic%20Leadership%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">HR@icom.vic.edu.au</a></strong>.
