<p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong><br>
An opportunity has arisen at Knox Grammar School Senior Campus for a Permanent Part Time TAS Safety Technician. The successful candidate will work with a motivated and growing department, with access to excellent facilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant, and high quality learning environments, while also providing technical support for TAS events and assisting teachers with digital technologies and device management.</p>
<p>Responsibilities;<br>
• Prepare, review and support the implementation of risk assessments and Safe Operating Procedures. Support staff and students in meeting mandatory safety requirements.<br>
• Allocating and prioritising all maintenance tasks within a workshop/classroom setting.<br>
• Determining the required materials to support technology teachers across a variety of subject areas.<br>
• Reviewing and managing the asset register.<br>
• Providing input into the annual budget relating to safety and equipment needs.<br>
• Support professional learning for staff in the use of technology equipment and materials. <br>
• Assist with TAS events such as the TAS Showcase, subject selection evenings, and HSC Major Project marking, including setup, technical support, and pack down.<br>
• Demonstrating initiative and being highly organised.</p>
<p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong><br>
• Demonstrated ability to allocate and prioritise maintenance tasks within a workshop/classroom environment<br>
• Sound understanding of WHS legislation and safe workshop practices. <br>
• Proven ability to prepare, review, and update risk assessments, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety documentation. <br>
• Demonstrated ability to identify and coordinate professional development in the areas of safety and use of digital technologies<br>
• Proven ability to ensure effective maintenance and management of technical equipment to minimise downtime. <br>
• Highly developed organisational and interpersonal (both oral and written) skills.<br>
• Hold relevant qualifications and/or knowledge, or willing to obtain knowledge in educational risk management and able to identify, assess and control potential risks.</p>
