<p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>
As a Hospitality and Food Technology Assistant (LSO Level 4), you will be an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate <strong>Corpus Christi College Maroubra's</strong> values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community. You must be able to demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required</li>
<li>excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines</li>
<li>experience with Compass or the ability to learn new systems</li>
<li>ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team</li>
<li>accuracy and attention to detail</li>
<li>proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required</li>
<li>a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li>
<li>working in a food preparation environment</li>
<li>experience in a school or hospitality setting</li>
<li>a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>prepare, organise, and deliver materials needed for practical lessons</li>
<li>assist with food preparation (washing, cleaning, chopping, etc.)</li>
<li>maintain clean, well-organised kitchen, storage, and hospitality areas</li>
<li>clean and sanitise food preparation spaces in line with hygiene standards</li>
<li>research, purchase, collect, and unload supplies as directed</li>
<li>support teachers during practical lessons</li>
<li>clean, store, and help maintain equipment; report any faults or damage</li>
<li>monitor the condition of kitchen tools and student equipment kits</li>
<li>follow regulations for safe storage, handling, and disposal of food and chemicals.</li>
